Leigh French Book Distribution
Earlier this year our friend and comrade Leigh French died far sooner than any of us had hoped.
Leigh had a ferocious intellect and a wide range of interests attested to by his book collection—taking in gardening, vegetarian cooking, marxist theory, artist books and everything in between. Following his passing it was felt that it would be the right thing to share out his possessions to anyone who can make use of them.
Please join us for a one-day event where you may take what is of use. Beyond the books there are tools, equipment, many copies of issues from Volumes I & II of Variant and seeds from Leigh’s much loved garden.
There will be no charge for anything but we will be making a collection on the day for costs of future Variant projects and maintaining the archive. Everything is available on a first-come-first-served basis and is to be taken on the day please bring bags!
In 2024 Broadside will hold an event to celebrate Leigh’s life and legacy through the variant archive.
