Performance 20.01.24 4 – 6pm
Scores for the End of the Present
The new performance, developed for its first iteration in close response to the eponymous installation and the architecture of Broadside, unfolds several strategies of moving away from the here and now. Things appear and disappear. Certain sounds repeatedly find their way out of silence, while others die out and never come back. The presence of objects and people has a limited time span, and the future when they are gone is already happening.
The performance will be followed by a chance to view and purchase the new publication accompanying the exhibition. The publication features a newly commissioned essay ‘Not Not a Paradise’ by Alexi Kukuljevic and Benjamin Fallon in conversation with Neil Clements & Irina Gheorghe. The book is published in an edition of 150, the first 30 copies will be available for the special price of £9 (normally £12).
